Man’s Moral Foundation Gone!

The headline reads of a Special Education teacher sending 25,000 texts with a teenage boy she sexually assaulted. There is legal outrage concerning this, and there is moral outrage concerning this – but should there be? In our liberal, chaotic and progressive society there is, positively, no moral foundation or authority by which to judge this teacher wrong. If one asserts to the contrary there is a proper moral foundation by which to judge another wrong, but it is not of God, then from whom or what does it come? Liberals and progressives maintain that man’s wisdom is the basis upon which morality is determined; the Humanist Manifesto states: “We affirm moral values derive their source from human experience. Ethics is autonomous and situational, needing no theological or ideological sanction” (Humanist Manifesto II, p. 17).

Since liberals, progressives, and atheists proclaim as much, what did she do that was wrong, and why is it wrong?

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man; But the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov. 14:12, ASV).
